The suites in the mansion house are made up of one or two bedrooms, lavish bathrooms and personal lounges, some with private hot tubs. The master bedroom boasts a number of original period features including original window shutters; the room is a generous 24 square metres. The super king bed allows for a restful and restoring night’s sleep and is tailored to your every need. We offer a turndown service that includes closing the window shutters and a hot water bottle to warm the bed if desired. Suite Six is a one bedroom suite that has the advantage of facing the Pap of Glencoe mountain and contains a master bedroom with separate dressing room, a generously sized sitting room and large bathroom. The adjoining dining room hosts the generously stocked “maxi” bar in your antique sideboard and the large dining room table can seat up to 6 guests for breakfast or dinner. The room contains a chandelier and an impressive original open fireplace, which can be lit to give a warm glow of an afternoon or in the evening. It was such an intimate and private experience being in your own cosy setting at dinner – the food was delicious. The suites have ‘maxi’ bars and they are incredibly reasonably priced. Suite Three is a two bedroom suite on the ground floor and ideally set for those occasions where a second bedroom is of benefit. This sizable suite is 137 square metres in scale and is composed of a master bedroom, second bedroom, bathroom, separate WC, study and generous private sitting room. All rooms enjoy panoramic views of Loch Leven and are ideally situated to enjoy the spectacular Highland sunsets.
The antique dressing table, wardrobe and crystal chandelier give the finishing touches to an elegant and refined room. As the name suggests, the private sitting room of this suite was Lord Strathcona’s library and is 42 square metres in size. Decorated in a warm red colour, this room lends itself to relaxation and contemplation. The room contains striking original jade coloured marble open fireplace with a wood burning stove, which can be lit to give a warm glow of an afternoon or in the evening while enjoying a drink from the generously stocked ‘maxi’ bar. The ceiling retains the original plasterwork and the walls are lined with the original Victorian bookshelves. Other period features include the solid oak flooring and original window shutters.
